Hopkins Claims Third GNAC Weekly Honor

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been announced and Saint Joseph's College freshman Tiger Hopkins (Leeds, Maine) has earned GNAC Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week accolades for the third time this spring.

Hopkins tallied seven points with five goals and two assists in a 16-15 overtime victory over the University of Saint Joseph on Friday afternoon. The freshman attack hit pay dirt on five of seven shot attempts in the key conference triumph.

Through 14 games this season Hopkins has scored 34 goals with 33 assists for a total of 67 points. He currently ranks third in the GNAC in assists and points and seventh in goals.

Saint Joseph's will host Anna Maria College on Tuesday in a conference contest slated to start at 6:00 PM.
