STANDISH, Maine - Saint Joseph's College faced off against University of New England in a virtual swim meet on Saturday morning. The SJC men posted a 97-40 victory while the Monks' women fell by a 162-82 score.
The women's team notched five individual victories versus the Nor'easters while the SJC men notched 10 individual triumphs in the event.
THE RUNDOWN - MEN:
- Sophomore Camden Thaxter (Yarmouth, Maine) won the 50-Breast (34.42), 50-Free (25.45), and 100-Free (58.45)
- Junior Ryan Watson (Bangor, Maine) won the 200-Free (2:06.80) and 500-Free (5:48.78) races and placed third in the 100-Free (1:00.66)
- Freshman Shawn Perry (Plaistow, N.H.) won the 50-Back (33.86) and 100-Back (1:12.23) events and finished second in the 200-IM (2:37.95)
- Senior Caleb Levine (Portland, Maine) won the 100-Fly (58.65) and 50-Fly (26.27) events and finished third in the 50-Free (26.70)
- Senior Anthony Blatus (Dracut, Mass.) won the 100-Breast (1:22.69) and finished second in the 50-Breast (35.93)
- Sophomore Michael Hagerty (Yarmouth, Maine) was second in the 100-Free (1:00.35) and third in the 200-IM (2:51.84) and 500-Free (6:45.93) events
- Junior Joseph Nichols (Tyngsborough, Mass.) placed second in the 100-Back (1:17.25) and 100-IM (1:21.15) events and fourth in the 50-Fly (34.05)
- Perry, Thaxter, Levine and Blatus won the 200-Medley relay (2:02.84)
- Blatus, Nichols, Hagerty and Watson won the 200-Free relay (1:52.00)
THE RUNDOWN - WOMEN:
- Junior Alirose Beauregard (Dover, N.H.) won the 50-Free (26.99), 100-Free (1:00.63) and 100-IM (1:10.15) events
- Freshman Brooke Podsiadlo (Granby, Mass.) won the 200-Free (2:08.45) and 500-Free (5:52.31) events and placed second in the 100-Fly (1:13.03)
- Freshman Ashley Thompson (Granby, Conn.) was second in the 100-Breast (1:26.25), third in the 200-IM (2:54.95), and fourth in the 50-Breast (39.54)
- First-year Rylie Perron (Wells, Maine) finished fourth in the 200-Free (2:39.27) and 50-Fly (36.63) races
- Freshman Eliza Nadeau placed fourth in the 50-Back (39.78) and fifth in the 100-Back (1:27.68) and 500-Free (7:36.37)
- Senior Jasmine Dort (Essex, Mass.) was fifth in the 50-Free (31.65) and 100-Free (1:14.54)
- Podsiadlo, Dort, Beauregard and Perron won the 200-Free relay (2:00.00)
- Nadeau, Thompson, Perron and Dort finished third in the 200-Medley relay (2:26.24)

Saint Joseph's will host a Senior Day event featuring a series of time trials next Saturday. Specators are not allowed but the event will be streamed via Facebook Live on the Monks Swimming page.
