NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Saint Joseph's College competed in the Falcon Invitational along with University of Saint Joseph, Elms College, and host Albertus Magnus College on Saturday afternoon.

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Sophomore Brooke Podsiadlo (Granby, Mass.) was a triple winner with first place finishes in the 50-Back (32.11), 200-Back (2:29.33), and 500-Free (6:02.13)
  • Freshman Tiffany Twombly (Sanford, Maine) won the 200-Breast (2:47.28) and placed second in the 50-Free (26.97) and third in the 50-Fly (32.18)
  • Freshman Kiley Matthews (South Portland, Maine) won the 200-Free (2:15.91) and placed second in the 100-Free (57.92) and 50-Fly (31.26)
  • Ashley Thompson placed second in the 50-Breast (38.85) and fifth in the 200-Breast (3:04.49)
  • Senior Hannah Kibbin (Augusta, Maine) was third in the 50-Breast (39.59), sixth in the 200-Breast (3:14.51), and seventh in the 100-Free (1:14.29)
  • Sophomore Eliza Nadeau (Raymond, Maine) was fifth in the 200-Free (2:41.38) and 50-Free (33.73) and sixth in the 100-Free (1:13.41)
  • Matthews, Podsiadlo, Twombly, and Thompson won the 200-Free relay (1:52.93)
  • Rylie Perron, Thompson, Kibbin and Nadeau finished third in the 200-Medley relay (2:23.62)

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Senior Michael Hagerty (Yarmouth, Maine) placed third in the 500-Free (6:45.89), fourth in the 1000-Free (13:42.68), and fifth in the 100-Free (1:03.24)
  • Senior Joseph Nichols (Tyngsborough, Mass.) was third in the 50-Back (34.33) and fourth in the 200-Back (2:47.52) and 50-Fly (34.71)
  • Sophomore Shawn Perry (Plaistow, N.H.) posted his first career victory with a 2:30.40 time in the 200-Back and was third in the 200-Fly (2:40.51) and 200-IM (2:30.58)
  • Junior Camden Thaxter (Yarmouth, Maine) placed third in the 50-Free (24.96) and 100-Free (57.18) events and was fourth in the 200-Breast (2:50.02)
  • Senior Ryan Watson (Glenburn, Maine) won the 500-Free (5:40.20) and finished second in the 200-Free (2:02.21) and 200-Fly (2:37.90)
  • Hagerty, Nichols, Watson, and Thaxter placed second in the 200-Free relay (1:48.76)
