Gadbois Selected as GNAC Player of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College senior Kat Gadbois (Scarborough, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Corvais Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.

Gadbois tallied six goals, five assists, 11 ground balls, five draw controls, and eight caused turnovers in a 2-0 week for the Monks. The senior midfielder came through with one of the biggest games of her career with six goals, six ground balls, four draw controls, and four caused turnovers in an important conference victory over Johnson & Wales on Saturday. Gadbois also became the Monks' career leader in ground balls and caused turnovers in an 8-1 win over Regis on Wednesday.

Through seven games this season, Gadbois has registered 16 goals, 17 assists, 32 ground balls, 17 draw controls, and 20 caused turnovers. She currently leads the conference in assists and caused turnovers and ranks second in points. The weekly conference accolade is the first of her collegiate career.

In 64 games over three-plus seasons, Gadbois has tallied 107 goals and 56 assists for 163 points with 238 ground balls, 98 draw controls, and 108 caused turnovers.

On Wednesday, Saint Joseph's (6-1, 1-0 GNAC) will travel to Brunswick to face Bowdoin College in a non-conference contest starting at 7:00 PM.
