Dexter Claims Second-Consecutive GNAC Player of the Week Honor

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been released and Saint Joseph's College grad student Lydia Dexter (Oakland, Maine) has been chosen as the GNAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the second-consecutive reporting period.

Dexter led the Monks to a pair of conference wins last week by tallying seven goals and 15 assists for 22 total points with seven ground balls and 10 draw controls in victories over Rivier and USJ. The grad student attack tied the Monks' single game records for assists (8) and points (13) in a road win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Through seven games this spring, Dexter has tallied 27 goals and 35 assists for 62 points with 22 ground balls, 15 draw controls, and nine caused turnovers. She currently leads the conference in points and assists and ranks fourth in the GNAC in goals.

As of March 21st, Dexter led the NCAA – all three divisions – in assists per game (5.50) and points per game (9.67).

Saint Joseph's (7-0, 3-0 GNAC) will host GNAC-rival Emmanuel College on Saturday at 3:00 PM.
