Dexter Earns Fourth GNAC Weekly Award

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been announced and Saint Joseph's College grad student Lydia Dexter (Oakland, Maine) has been chosen as the GNAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the third-consecutive week and fourth time overall this spring.

Dexter enjoyed another fine week with eight goals and five assists for 13 total points along with nine ground balls and three caused turnovers in victories over Lasell and Johnson & Wales. The grad student attack netted five goals with three assists in a win at Lasell on Tuesday and potted three goals with a pair of helpers in a huge 11-7 victory over JWU on Saturday.

The 2021 First Team All-Conference honoree currently leads the GNAC In points (82) and assists (44) and ranks fourth in goals (38), shots (87) and shots on goal (64). She also leads the nation in points per game (8.20) and ranks fourth in points.

In just 34 career games Dexter has scored 87 goals with 84 assists for 171 points to go with 84 ground balls, 64 draw controls, and 37 caused turnovers.

Saint Joseph's will host Dean College on Saturday in a GNAC matchup set to start at 4:00 PM.
