Julia Croteau joined the Monks' community prior to the start of the 2013-2014 season.

Croteau began her career as a three sport varsity athlete at Shrewsbury High School, MA. Her senior year, as a captain, she led her lacrosse team to the program's first district championship and state championship appearance. She led her team in forced turnovers and ground balls, becoming MVP for defense both her junior and senior year.

During her studies at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA, Croteau participated in collegiate rowing, competing in prestigious regattas across the nation.  Following graduation, Croteau pursued her Masters in Art History from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.

Croteau returned to Shrewsbury High School as an assistant coach in 2012, leaving the program with a 30-14 record and two district finals appearances.
