Gina Newsome was hired as an assistant coach prior to the start of the 2016 season.

Newsome graduated from the University of New England in 2015 after starring for the Nor’easters lacrosse team for four seasons. Selected as the 2012 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and UNE Athletics Rookie of the Year, Newsome went on to tally a program-record 111 assists and 271 career points, a total that ranks second in Nor’easters women’s lacrosse history. Along the way, Newsome garnered a pair of First Team All-CCC honors and a pair of Second Team All-CCC accolades.

Newsome graduated with a Psychology degree with a minor in Mental Health and currently teaches at Margaret Murphy Center for Children.
