Daigle Named ECAC DIII New England Offensive Player of the Week

STANDISH, ME - Sophomore forward Danielle Daigle (Dayton, Maine/Thornton Academy) has been selected as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Offensive Player of the Week.

Daigle, the most recent Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week honoree, scored three goals, including a pair of game-winners, in a 2-0-1 week for Saint Joseph's. The second-year forward netted the game-tying goal with less than three minutes remaining in regulation versus conference-rival Mount Ida College on Monday and tallied the clinching goals in victories over Rivier University and Maine-Presque Isle over the weekend.

Daigle currently ranks as the Monks' leader in goals (6), points (12) and shots on goal (19) and is tied for the team-lead in game-winning goals (2). She has tallied 11 goals, three assists and 25 total points with three game-winners in nearly two complete collegiate campaigns.

Saint Joseph's will play at Suffolk University in a GNAC contest slated to start at 6:00 PM on Wednesday evening.
