GNAC Women's Soccer Tournament Bracket Announced

WINTHROP, Mass. – Lasell College, which is unbeaten with a 21-0-1 record in conference play since the beginning of the 2013 season, has finished its league slate with an 11-0 mark this fall to earn the top seed in the upcoming 2014 GNAC Women's Soccer Tournament.

The Lasers, who sit at 13-4 overall, have outscored opponents 47-8 in their 11 GNAC contests, shutting out league foes four different times. They will open up against eighth-seeded Suffolk University (4-4-3) in a quarterfinal match on Sunday, November 2.

Emmanuel College (8-3) garnered the No. 2 seed in the tournament and will square off against seventh-seeded Saint Joseph's College of Maine (5-5-1) in the quarters next Sunday.

Third-seeded Simmons College (8-3) will match up against sixth-seeded Johnson & Wales University (6-4-1).

Fourth-seeded Albertus Magnus College (7-3-1) will open up postseason play by hosting fifth-seeded University of Saint Joseph (CT) (7-3-1), as the Blue Jays earned a key 2-1 overtime victory over Johnson & Wales on Sunday afternoon in the league's regular-season finale to grab the No. 5 position and slide the Wildcats to the sixth seed.
