DaGraca Garners NSCAA Second Team All-New England Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Saint Joseph's College sophomore Haley DaGraca (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy) has been named Second Team All-New England Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

DaGraca, the 2016 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and two-time First Team All-GNAC honoree, becomes the second individual in the history of the Saint Joseph's women's soccer program to earn NSCAA All-Region accolades after leading the team in goals (21), points (45), shots (90), and game-winning goals (5) this fall.

Despite missing two games early in the season, DaGraca finished the year tied for the conference lead in goals and ranked second in points and third in game-clinchers. Currently, she is listed second in SJC program history in single-season goals, points, shots, and winners. She netted 21 of the Monks' 43 tallies this fall and heads into her junior campaign with 33 goals and 72 total points in 36 NCAA contests.

Jillian Leger '08, the first SJC player to claim NSCAA honors, earned Second Team All-New England accolades following the 2007 campaign.

Under the watch of fourth-year Head Coach Jenelle Harris, Saint Joseph's went 10-7-3 overall with a 6-2-3 mark in conference play this fall. As the #4 seed in the GNAC Tournament, the Monks defeated #5 Simmons College, 3-1, in a conference quarterfinal, a victory that counted as the program's first postseason triumph since the 2009 campaign, and saw the 2016 come to a close with a semifinal loss at the hands of eventual GNAC Champion Lasell College on November 2nd.
