STANDISH, ME The Saint Josephs College swimming program posted another solid season in the pool as a second-year varsity sport. The women won seven of eight meets and placed second in the GNAC Championship, improving upon a sixth-place finish in 2007, while breaking 14 individual and five relay records. Although still searching for its first meet victory, the mens program set team records for points as well as lowest deficit in a meet while 13 individual program records fell during the 2009 campaign.
STANDISH, ME Saint Joseph's College Swimming Head Coach Rick Horr has announced his 2009 team awards. Most Valuable, Most Improved and Monk Awards were presented to individuals on both the men's and women's teams.
STANDISH, ME The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has announced its yearly womens swimming awards and for the second time in as many years as a league member, a Saint Josephs College swimmer has been honored in a vote by the conference coaches. Lady Monks freshman Hannah Gajewski (Biddeford, ME/McAuley) has been selected as the 2009 GNAC Rookie Swimmer of the Year.

DARTMOUTH, MA The Saint Josephs womens swim team completed the 2009 New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Championship with 99 points for a 17th place finish.
