Sarah Hawkes ’13 (Pownal, ME) produced seven kills and four digs in the Monks’ season-ending setback.

NORTHFIELD, VT – Saint Joseph’s (14-9, 4-3 GNAC) lost to Norwich (16-7, 5-2 GNAC), 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-22) in a conference volleyball match on Saturday afternoon. Kiah Begley ’13 (Berwick, ME/Saint Thomas Aquinas) registered 17 assists and eight digs in the SJC loss.

WESTON, MA – Saint Joseph’s improved to 11-6 overall with a 3-1 victory against non-conference foe Regis College on Friday evening. Sarah Hawkes ’13 (Pownal, ME) recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs in the triumph.
FARMINGTON, ME – Saint Joseph’s improved to 10-6 overall with a 3-0 victory over University of Maine-Farmington (2-8) on Tuesday evening. Kiah Begley ’13 (Berwick, ME/Saint Thomas Aquinas) registered 15 assists, six kills, five digs and four service aces for the Monks.
STANDISH, ME St. Joes (9-6, 2-1 GNAC) earned a split in a tri-match at the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday. The Monks defeated GNAC rival Simmons College (1-9, 0-1 GNAC), 3-2, in the opener before falling to Western Connecticut State (13-2), 3-0, in the nightcap.
NASHUA, NH - Saint Joseph's (8-5) suffered a 3-0 loss to Daniel Webster (5-2) in a non-conference volleyball match on Wednesday evening. Sarah Hawkes '13 (Pownal, ME) registered a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs with a .421 hitting percentage in the loss.
NEWTON, MA Saint Joseph's (8-4, 1-1 GNAC) split a pair of five-set conference matches Saturday, earning a 3-2 win over tri-match host Lasell College (3-5, 1-1) before suffering a 3-2 loss to Pine Manor College (3-3, 1-1).

STANDISH, ME Saint Josephs (6-2) won the SJC Autumn Invitational for the second consecutive season with a 3-0 victory over Wentworth Institute (2-5) in the tourney title match on Saturday. Sarah Hawkes 13 (Pownal, ME) notched 13 digs, five aces and six total blocks, all game-highs, in the championship contest.

Holly Bannister 14 (Cumberland, ME) notched 10 service aces in the pair of Royal Blue victories.
NORTON, MA Saint Josephs (2-2) completed the Wheaton College Invitational Tournament with a win and two losses on Saturday. The Monks topped Wentworth Institute, 3-2, before falling to Emerson College and Wheaton by 3-0 scores in the teams final two matches. Kiah Begley 13 (Berwick, ME/Saint Thomas Aquinas) handed out 53 assists in the three contests.
GORHAM, ME Saint Josephs (1-0) defeated University of Southern Maine (0-1), 3-1, in the 2010 volleyball opener for both teams at Hill Gymnasium on Wednesday evening. Sarah Hawkes 13 (Pownal, ME) registered a match-high 11 kills for the Monks, who rallied to win three straight after dropping the first game to the Huskies.
STANDISH, ME With an impressive incoming class and a solid corps of talented returners, the St. Joes Volleyball team is poised to make its first Great Northeast Athletic Conference appearance this fall.
