The Cadets retaliated with 4 hits and 4 runs in the top of the second to take a 4-3 lead.

The 4-3 advantage was short-lived for Norwich, as the Royal Blue countered with four runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth to regain the lead, 7-4. Alyssa Dunn sent home two runs with a single and Megan Farrell uncorked a triple to knock home the other two runs in the inning.

After Norwich tacked on a run in the top of the third, St. Joe's fired back with a six-spot, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Megan Farrell, to give the Royal Blue a 13-5 advantage.

The Cadets refused to go down without a fight and scored four runs in the fourth to lessen the SJC lead to 13-9. Christine Carroll (Westport, MA) recorded a two-RBI double in the NU rally effort.

Kiera Walsh came into the game in relief and cooled off the Cadets' bats and the Lady Monks went on to add two runs in the bottom of the fourth and two more in the bottom of the sixth off a Jillian Kimball double to provide the eight-run advantage and complete the game.

Alysn Ludwig and Anna Willis both went 4-5 and Willis scored five runs in the game. Jillian Kimball and Megan Farrell each recorded four hits and five RBI's in the win and SO Liddy van der Linden (Worcester, MA) was 3-3 with 3 runs.
