Leverone Collects Second Team All-New England Honor

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's senior outfielder Emily Leverone (Hampton, N.H.) has collected New England Intercollegiate Softball Coaches Association (NEISCA) Second Team All-Star honors for the third consecutive season.

Leverone, a four-time First Team All-Conference selection, paced the Monks in batting average (.439, 58-132), runs (45), hits (58), doubles (16), home runs (10), RBI (42), total bases (104), and slugging percentage (.788) during her final collegiate campaign.

The four-year standout capped her career as the Monks' all-time leader in games (172), at bats (549), runs (168), hits (258), doubles (66), home runs (37), RBI (211), total bases (455), slugging (.829), and OPS (1.330). Leverone also broke the GNAC career records for games, at bats, runs, hits, doubles, RBI and total bases and is currently tied atop the conference home run rankings.

Leverone also owns the SJC single season marks for hits (75, 2009), doubles (19, 2011), RBI (60, 2010), average (.547, 2009), slugging (.920, 2009), OBP (.581, 2009), and OPS (1.501, 2009).
