Softball to Host Coaches Vs. Cancer Event

STANDISH, ME - The Saint Joseph's College Softball team will hold a Coaches Vs. Cancer event when the Monks play host to in-state rival University of Southern Maine on Thursday, April 18th.

As part of the fundraising efforts, Saint Joseph's will be passing the hat during the games for donations while the players' parents will be hosting a bake "no-sale" as baked goods can be bought for a donation of your choice. The Southern Maine softball team will also be making a donation to the cause.

In an effort to raise awareness, all of the Saint Joseph's players will be wearing pink socks and pink headbands, as well as other assorted pink apparel, during the contests.

For more information, please contact Softball Head Coach Jamie Smyth '92 at jsmyth@sjcme.edu.

First pitch is slated for 5:30 PM at Richard W. Bailey Field and the second game is tentatively scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM.
