Saint Joseph's Softball Announces Class of 2024

STANDISH, Maine – Head Coach Jamie Smyth '92 is pleased to announce the Saint Joseph's College softball Class of 2024.

The softball freshman class, which features six players from three different states, figures to add depth, talent and a championship pedigree to the Monks' roster.

The 2024 class figures to help replace the production lost by the Monks' six seniors who graduated last spring: Kaylee Burns (Saco, Maine), Madisyn Charest (Sidney, Maine), Caitlyn King (Old Town, Maine), Maizie Lee (Saco, Maine), Libby Pomerleau (Limerick, Maine), and Kate Whitney (Jonesboro, Maine). This group of departed four-year contributors combined to hit .331 (352-1062) with 200 runs, 46 doubles, 13 triples, 11 home runs, 167 RBI and 38 stolen bases while the two pitchers – King and Whitney – won 28 games with 179 strikeouts over 412 innings in the circle.

"We are extremely proud of our 2024 softball recruiting class," adds Coach Smyth. "They are a talented group of high character students. They join a great group of returning players who will help them and support them as they transition into college"
