Rauscher Leads the Way with 19
STANDISH, MAINE - Saint Joseph's College and
College of Saint Joseph (VT) squared off in game one of the annual
Merry Monk Tournament at Saint Joseph's College today. Senior
Brittany Rauscher (Oakland, ME) scored a game-high
19 points and added 6 boards and 4 steals in the 65-42 victory.
Eleven players scored against an injury-riddled College of Saint
Joseph (VT) squad with sophomore Yoandree
Pierre-Jacques (Providence, RI) and junior captain
Kaylin Regula (Windham, ME) both chipping in with
9.
Sophomore center Vicky Guetti (Rutland, VT) led the Fighting Saints
with 15 points and 5 boards while first year Irene Thompkins
(Schenectady, NY) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and first year
Michelle Thompson (Plymouth, NH) had 10 points and 2 steals.
Saint Joe's faces Albany College of Pharmacy in the championship
game on Sunday at 2 pm and College of Saint Joseph takes on
Briarcliffe College in the consolation game at 12:00 pm.
