Regula's Double Double Lifts Monks over Pequots

STANDISH, MAINE - Junior captain Kaylin Regula (Windham, ME) had a season-high 21 points and 11 boards to lead the Saint Joseph's College women's basketball team to a 73-57 victory over visiting Mitchell College (1-3).

St. Joe's (1-2) built a 16 point lead in the first half and this would be the difference in the game as both teams scored 35 points in the second half. First year Ashley Hansen (Clinton, CT) scored 20 points and grabbed 7 boards for the Pequots and junior Shayna Barnes (Tarrytown, NJ) chipped in with 12 points and 8 rebounds.

Sophomore Marie Lint (Orono, ME) had 12 points and 7 boards and senior Brittany Rauscher (Oakland, ME) had 10 points and 8 rebounds for St. Joe's. The Monks received a huge lift from first-year Alysn Ludwig (Waldoboro, ME), who came off the bench and had 8 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals and no turnovers in 32 minutes.

The team plays next at Lyndon State College (VT) on 11/30 at 5:30 p.m.
