STANDISH, ME - The Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association
has released its weekly awards and Saint Joseph's freshman center
Ashley Geel (St. George, ME) has been named to the Honor Roll for
the fourth time this season.
Geel collects the honor after averaging 11.5 points, 5.0 boards and
3.0 blocks in a 1-1 week for the Lady Monks. The freshman scored 13
points against GNAC foe Rivier College on January 29th.
Through 20 games, Geel leads St. Joe's, and ranks fourth in Maine,
with 1.26 blocks per game and is the team's third-leading scorer
with 7.6 points per game.
Saint Joseph's will travel to Chestnut Hill, MA on Wednesday,
February 4th to take on GNAC rival Pine Manor College for a 5:30 PM
tipoff.
