STANDISH, ME - The Saint Joseph's College Women's Basketball team will make a trip to Claremont, California next season for games against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer.
The Monks will trade in their winter coats and caps for shorts and tee-shirts when they depart for sunny California in late December. While in Claremont, a city located about 30 minutes from Los Angeles, the SJC women will have a multitude of activities to choose from and sights to see on their off days. Trips to Hollywood, Malibu, Disneyland or the Pacific Ocean are possibilities, as are visits to UCLA or Loyola Marymount to watch Division I contests. The women could also choose to see the Lakers or the Clippers play during the trip.
Head Coach Mike McDevitt ‘83, who is currently in his 17th season as the Monks' leader, plans to take his team on a major trip every-other season.
