STANDISH, ME - The Saint Joseph's College Women's Basketball team raised over $2,000 for the Maine Cancer Foundation during the team's Pink Zone event when the men's team played Mount Ida College at the Harold Alfond Center on February 20th.
Gate proceeds and funds gained from selling over 500 Pink Zone tee-shirts at the event have been donated to the worthy cause. Local businesses also demonstrated their support, as the employees at Cole Farms, a restaurant in Gray, proudly wore the Pink Zone shirts on February 20th to help raise awareness of the event.
The Pink Zone event and fundraiser will be an annual event for the Saint Joseph's College Women's Basketball team. A sincere thank you to everyone involved for making this a successful event!
