STANDISH, ME – The Saint Joseph's women's basketball program will participate in the annual WBCA Play 4Kay® initiative when the team hosts conference-rival Rivier College at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11th.
All gate proceeds generated from the contest will be donated to the Maine Cancer Foundation. SJC women's team members have been selling pink tee-shirts adorned with the event logo and donations will be accepted near the gate prior to tip-off. Funds collected via tee-shirt sales and guest donations will be contributed to the cause as well.
Tee-shirts are still available for purchase, but quantities are limited. The shirts cost $10 each, sizes S-XL and youth sizes are available. $12 for XXL and XXXL.
Fans attending the contest are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness.
