STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College freshman guard Kelsi McNamara (West Newbury, Mass.) has been named as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Rookie of the Week.

With this week's awards, the first-year standout has now earned five GNAC top rookie honors and four MWBCA weekly accolades.

In the Monks' lone contest last week, McNamara netted a game-high 25 points with four rebounds and three assists in leading Saint Joseph's to an 83-71 victory over GNAC-rival Albertus Magnus College at the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday.

Through 12 games for the 9-3 Monks, McNamara is averaging 15.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals while shooting 41.1% (62-151) from the floor, 44.4% (32-72) from three-point distance, and 81% (34-42) from the free-throw line.

McNamara currently leads the conference in three-pointers made and three-point field goal percentage and ranks fifth in the GNAC in free-throw percentage and points per game average. She also ranks 16th in NCAA DIII Women's Basketball in three-point success.

Saint Joseph's College will host Colby College tonight in a non-conference contest starting at 7:00 PM.
