Coach McDevitt to Appear on Hoopsville Broadcast Tonight

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College Head Coach Mike McDevitt '83 will be a guest on Hoopsville, an online video broadcast dedicated to NCAA DIII Basketball, at some point during the 8:00 PM hour. The two-hour show begins at 7:00 PM and can be found here: www.d3hoops.com/hoopsville

Saint Joseph's defeated Anna Maria College in the 2015-16 regular season finale to improve to 20-5 overall with an 11-1 record in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. The Monks finished the conference docket in a three-way tie with Johnson & Wales University and Emmanuel College, but emerged as the top seed via the GNAC's tiebreaker policy.

The 2016 GNAC Tournament begins on Tuesday night, when the Monks host eighth-seeded Rivier University in a 7:00 PM start.

ABOUT HOOPSVILLE:

Hoopsville is the only show dedicated to Division III basketball. The show first hit the air in November 2000 and has had a presence in Division III ever since. The show will celebrate its 13th season starting this November, but even when the show was not available weekly, it could be heard at each and every Division III men's championship weekend the last 15 years.

Dave McHugh is the creator and host of Hoopsville which broadcasts out of his studios in the Baltimore area. The studios are also used for The #WhyD3 Show and other production needs.

The Hoopsville program is an Internet only broadcast and you can follow the show on its main website www.d3hoops.com/hoopsville. Fans can also interact with host Dave McHugh during the show through Twitter by submitting questions using the handle @d3hoopsville and the hashtag #Hoopsville and on Facebook at facebook.com/hoopsville.

Hoopsville is proud of its partnership with D3hoops.com, the National Association of Basketball Coaches, and the City of Salem. Thanks to these partnerships and relationships with other groups including Sports Information Directors, the NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Committees, the committee chairs, the NCAA liaisons and others, the show has been able to fill each episode with plenty of guests and content. In the future, the hope is to find sponsors to help offset the costs of running Hoopsville and The #WhyD3 Show.
