McNamara Collects Trio of Accolades for Second Consecutive Week

STANDISH, Maine – For the second-consecutive week, Saint Joseph's College sophomore Kelsi McNamara (West Newbury, Mass.) has garnered accolades from the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA), New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA), and Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).

McNamara has collected MWBCA Player of the Week honors and is also listed on the NEWBA and GNAC weekly honor rolls for her play in three contests last week.

The second-year standout averaged 18.3 points, 4.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game in a 3-0 week for Saint Joseph's. McNamara netted 30 points with a program-record eight three-pointers made in an 85-64 victory over Anna Maria College Monday, and shot 55.9% (19-34) from the floor and 62.5% (15-24) from three-point range for the week.

Through 18 games for the Monks, McNamara is averaging 14.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.6 steals while shooting 38.1% (86-226) from the floor, 39.0% (46-118) from three-point distance, and 80.7% (46-57) from the free throw line. She currently leads the GNAC in three-pointers made and assists and ranks second in the conference in free throw percentage.

Saint Joseph's (15-3, 9-0 GNAC) returns to action Thursday with a home contest versus GNAC rival Lasell College. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 PM.
