McNamara Claims SJC Career Three-Point Field Goal Record

STANDISH, Maine – With her third of four three pointers made in an 82-45 victory over Mount Ida College on Tuesday, January 16th, junior guard Kelsi McNamara (West Newbury, Mass.) broke the Monks' career three-point field goals record. The third-year standout broke the mark formerly held by Megan McDevitt '12, who drained 180 trifectas in 104 career contests, and currently has 193 treys in 76 games.

McNamara, who in December became the seventh SJC player to reach the 1,000-point plateau as a junior, established last winter new program single-season records for three-pointers made (79) and attempted (217) and also owns the Monks' single-game mark for threes made (8, vs. Anna Maria, 1/16/17). She currently ranks fourth in program history in three-pointers attempted (513) and fifth in three-point percentage (.376).

Saint Joseph's travels to Lasell College tonight for a 6:00 PM conference contest.
