STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College hosted Maine Maritime Academy and Husson University in a double-dual at the Harold Alfond Center Pool on Friday evening.
The women split the event with a 140-98 triumph over Maine Maritime and a 167.50-85.50 setback at the hands of Husson. The men suffered a pair of losses, falling to the Mariners by a 174-66 score and to the Eagles, 136-68.
THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:
- Sophomore Alirose Beauregard (Dover, N.H.) won the 50-Back (30.78) and placed second in the 50-Free (27.39) and 100-Free (1:01.87) events
- Senior Emily Roy (Sidney, Maine) won the 200-Back (2:30.32), finished second in the 100-Fly (1:14.18), and raced to a third-place finish in the 50-Fly (32.47)
- Senior Autumn Nostrom (Lyman, Maine) was the runner-up in the 200-Breast (2:59.09)
- Senior Alexis Coiley (Fort Fairfield, Maine) placed second in the 500-Free (6:14.49)
- Sophomore Hannah Kibbin (Augusta, Maine) was third in the 200-Breast (3:09.00)
- Beauregard, Nostrom, Roy, and Madison Mills (Atkinson, N.H.) finished second in the 200-Medley relay (2:08.86)
- Mills, Coiley, Nostrom and Delaney Young (Woolwich, Maine) placed second in the 200-Free relay (1:57.06)
THE RUNDOWN – MEN:
- Freshman Evan Whaley (Natick, Mass.) won the 200-Free (1:55.73), 100-Fly (59.37) and 500-Free (5:17.02)
- Sophomore Ryan Watson (Bangor, Maine) finished second in the 1000-Free (11:33.66) and third in the 500-Free (5:41.89)
- Sophomore Joseph Nichols (Tyngsborough, Mass.) was second in the 50-Fly (31.06) and third in the 50-Back (32.09)
