Saint Joseph's Competes at Husson University

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College competed in a head-to-head swim competition at Husson University on Saturday. The Monks' men fell by a 101-62 margin and the SJC women suffered a 117-51 setback.

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Sophomore Joseph Nichols (Tyngsborough, Mass.) finished second in the 200-IM (2:44.28) and 200-Back (2:35.33) and third in the 200-Breast (3:17.88)
  • Freshman Evan Whaley (Merrimack, N.H.) won the 1000-Free (11:14.57) and 200-Fly (2:21.50) and finished third in the 50-Free (25.05)
  • Sophomore Ryan Watson (Bangor, Maine) placed first in the 200-Free (1:58.21) and 500-Free (5:30.52) events and was third in the 200-Fly (2:35.00)
  • Junior Anthony Blatus (Dracut, Mass.) was second in the 200-Breast (3:06.78) and third in the 100-Free (1:03.76)

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Senior Alexis Coiley (Fort Fairfield, Maine) won the 500-Free (6:24.17) and finished third in the 200-Free (2:19.83)
  • Sophomore Alirose Beauregard (Dover, N.H.) won the 200-Back (2:26.39) and placed third in the 50-Free (27.26)
  • Senior Emily Roy (Sidney, Maine) was third in the 200-IM (2:41.39)
  • Sophomore Hannah Kibbin (Augusta, Maine) placed third in the 200-Breast (3:07.05)
