Castleton Defeats St. Joe's in Double OT

STANDISH, MAINE - It took two overtimes to decide, but visiting Castleton State came away with a 4-3 win over Saint Joseph 's College on Sunday. Junior captain Monique Crawford (Peru, M) notched her second and third goals of the season and assisted on the goal by junior Sarah Kay (Lewiston, ME).

First-year player Amanda MacPheters (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) played well at mid-field in the hard-fought loss and junior captain Kristine Benere (Ayer, MA) turned in another strong performance.

St. Joe's keeper, first-year Ellen Gagne (Northborough, MA) had 10 saves and logged just over eighty-six minutes.

St. Joe's returns to action on Tuesday Sept. 13 for a 4 PM game at Husson College.
