Waryas Named Third Team All-Conference

STANDISH, Maine – The 2023 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) field hockey postseason awards have been announced and Saint Joseph's College sophomore forward Maya Waryas (Bellows Falls, Vt.) has collected Third Team All-GNAC honors.

The 2022 GNAC Rookie of the Year and First Team All-Conference claims Third Team acclaim after leading the Monks in goals (9) and points (21) this fall. In two seasons and 38 career games, Waryas has netted 32 goals – including seven game-winners - with six assists for 70 total points. She already ranks sixth in program history in goals and is tied for seventh in points.

Saint Joseph's posted a 6-12 overall record with a 6-6 mark in conference play en route to earning the #7 seed in the GNAC Tournament. The Monks' season came to a close with a 4-0 loss at the hands of #2 Lasell University on Saturday, October 28th.
