MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Saint Joseph's College junior goalkeeper Kassidy Collins (Pittston, Maine) is one off 509 undergraduate student-athletes who have earned well-deserved recognition as an National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Scholar of Distinction. This distinguished program honors undergraduate student-athletes who have exhibited exceptional academic excellence, achieving a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher throughout the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year.
Collins, a Medical Biology/Pre-Physician's Assistant major, is a three-year starting goalkeeper and team tri-captain for the Monks. Last fall, she registered a career-high 149 saves with a .741 save percentage and a pair of shutouts while logging 1,039 minutes between the posts.
Middlebury College stands out prominently, leading the way by placing the highest number of student-athletes on the Scholars of Distinction list this year, with an impressive count of 12 honorees. The University of Lynchburg closely follows with 11 commendable placements.
