Monks Edged Out by Husson, 1-0

Bangor, ME - Erin Nason's (JR, Unity, ME) goal 8:36 into the game held up, as the Eagles downed Saint Joseph College 1-0. Husson won their 6th straight game and moved to 6-2 on the season while the Monks stand at 6-4.

Erica Dorso's (JR, Farmingdale, ME) shot from the right side was saved by Kathleen Simoes (FY, Wakefield, MA), but Nason was there to put home the rebound. It would be the only score of the game. Simoes finished the game with 7 saves against 12 shots.

Lauren Snow (JR, Dover-Foxcroft, ME) kept the game scoreless as a shot from Dorso got by Simoes. Snow was there to make the defensive save with just over 10 minutes to play in the half, keeping the score 1-0.

Saint Joseph's kept constant pressure on the Eagles in the second half. They had 7 corners, but could not convert. Eagle's goalie Kelly Bocchino (SR, Vassalboro, ME) had 6 saves against 10 shots. Bocchino made a big save with just 42 seconds remaining. Jessica Baker (SO, Scarborough, ME) was one-on-one with Bocchino; Bocchino came out of the net to make the save.
