Standish, ME - Both teams had multiple chances to
break the scoreless tie, but it was Saint Joseph's College SO
Julia Ostrowski (Albany, NY) who scored the game
winning goal with 16 seconds remaining in the game. The Monks
improve their record to 10-6 while the Beavers fall to 10-5 on the
season.
The Monks outshot the Beavers 21-9 and were lead byFY Kayla
Nowell (Bridton, ME) who directed six shots on net. SO
Jessica Baker (Scarborough, ME), FY Alyssa
Dunn (Standish, ME), FY Renee Leach
(Shapleigh, ME) and Ostrowski all had 3 shots apiece. FY GK
Kathleen Simoes (Wakefield, MA) made 7 saves in
the shutout victory.
Saint Joseph's College next travels to Waterville, ME to take on
the Thomas College Terriers. Game time is 3:00 PM.
