STANDISH, ME – Due to the weather forecast, Saturday's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) field hockey tournament quarterfinal between #2 Saint Joseph's College and #7 Simmons College has been moved up to an earlier start.
Originally scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM, the game will now start at 12:00 PM at Lakeside Field on the Campus of Saint Joseph's College.
St. Joe's (11-5, 8-1 NAC) defeated Simmons (9-10, 4-5 NAC) by a 3-2 score in Boston earlier this season. The Monks are 10-6 in the history of the series with the Sharks and have won six straight against their NAC tourney opening-round opponent.
The winner of Saturday's contest will play the #6 Thomas/#3 New England College in the semifinal round on Wednesday afternoon. The NAC Championship will be played at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, November 5th.
