Messuri Named NAC Player of the Week

STANDISH, ME – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College senior forward Rachelle Messuri (Atkinson, N.H.) has been selected as the Player of the Week.

Messuri netted both of the Monks' goals in a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday. She scored her first goal of the season in the 32nd minute to knot the contest at 1-1 and notched her second marker 13:24 into extra play to help the Monks open the year in a winning fashion.

For Messuri, a 2012 Second Team All-Conference selection, the weekly honor is the second of her career. She first earned honors on September 10th, 2012.

Saint Joseph's (1-0) will play at Anna Maria College on Saturday at 5:00 PM.
