Dumond Named NAC Rookie of the Week

STANDISH, ME – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) weekly awards have been released and Saint Joseph's College field hockey freshman midfielder Kelsey Dumond (Lewiston, Maine) has earned Rookie of the Week honors.

Dumond scored a pair of goals in a 3-0 week for Saint Joseph's, including the eventual winner in a 3-0 triumph over University of Southern Maine on Wednesday. Through eight contests for the undefeated Monks, Dumond ranks third on the team in goals (5) and points (10) and is tied for second on the squad in game-winners (2).

The weekly conference honor is the first of her young career.

Saint Joseph's will play at Castleton State College in an important conference contest starting at 1:00 PM on Saturday.
