Astbury Earns NAC Rookie of the Week Honor

STANDISH, ME – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) weekly honors have been announced and Saint Joseph's College freshman keeper Emma Astbury (Bridgewater, Vt.) has been selected as the NAC Rookie of the Week for the second time this fall.

Astbury posted a pair of shutouts in conference play last week in wins over Maine-Farmington and Colby-Sawyer. With her in goal, the Monks have posted a team record five-consecutive shutouts and have not yielded a goal since October 9th.

As of October 28th, Astbury led the country with a 0.55 goals against average and heads into a game versus Plymouth State University – the final regular-season contest of the 2013 campaign – owning a 13-2 record with eight shutouts and a .778 save percentage.
