Field Hockey Class of 2027 Released

STANDISH, Maine – Head Coach Rupert Lewis, who is about to begin his 19th season at the helm, has announced the field hockey recruiting class of 2027.

Last year the Monks posted an 11-9 overall record with an 8-3 mark in conference play. As the #3 seed in the GNAC Tournament, St. Joe's hosted #6 Lasell University in quarterfinal action on October 29th and suffered a season-ending 2-1 loss in double overtime at the SJC Athletics Complex.

"Size doesn't define strength, and youth doesn't limit potential," adds Coach Lewis. "As we step on to the field this fall, we embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, and I believe the incoming players have the ability to rise to the occasion and help us reach our goals this fall.

The Monks kick off the 2023 campaign with a non-conference game at Husson University on Friday, September 1st at 7:00 PM. The team's 2023 home-opener versus GNAC rival University of Saint Joseph is set for Saturday, September 9th at 11:00 AM.
