The announcement of the 2005-06 Association of Division III All-Independent Men's and Women's Basketball teams came from Kansas City, Missouri, today.
The Association consists of 17 Division III independent institutions that have joined together to recognize their student-athletes and to provide exempted postseason championship competition in seven sports in 2005-06.
Coach Rob Sanicola led Saint Joseph's College to a 19-8 record and the Northeast Regional Championship game against Lincoln University. Junior Marcus Alexander (Niceville, FL) received an Honorable Mention award from the Association after leading the Monks with 12.7 points per game.
