Lyndonville, VT - Lyndon State College outscored St. Joe's 15-10
in overtime to earn a 76-71 victory last night. The Hornets held a
slim one-point lead, 33-32, at the half and St. Joe's took the
second half by a point, knotting the score at 61-61 at the end of
regulation.
Three players scored in double figures for St. Joe's: junior Marcus
Alexander (Niceville, FL) had 16 points on 7 for 15 shooting and
pulled down a game-high 9 boards; senior captain Chad Pulkinnen
(Windham, ME) recorded 14 points, 4 steals and junior Matt Plummer
(Naples, ME) chipped in with 13 points and 3 steals.
The Hornets were led by Tanner Price with 23 points and Chris
Dorsey with 21 points.
The Monks return to action on Saturday, Dec. 3, as they host the
Clippers of Maine-Machias at 12:00 noon.
