KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Saint Joseph's College (Maine) guard Chad Pulkkinen (Windham, Maine/Windham H.S.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.
During a 3-0 week, Pulkkinen averaged 21.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and grabbed four steals. In a 72-67 road win over Maine-Machias, he drilled a three-pointer to tie the game with six seconds remaining, forcing an overtime period. On the week, Pulkkinen shot an impressive 51 percent from the field (20-of-39) and 52 percent from behind the arc (13-of-25).
