STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's College sophomore guard Steve Simonds (Steep Falls, Maine) has been listed on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll for his play during the last reporting period.

Simonds averaged 18.3 points and 5.0 rebounds in a 1-2 week for the Monks and poured in a career-high 35 points in a 92-75 loss at the hands of Albertus Magnus College last Tuesday. The first-year starter was 12-18 from the field - including a 6-8 effort from three-point distance - and made all five of his free-throw attempts in the loss to the Falcons.

Through 14 contests, Simonds is averaging 13.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He is currently shooting 47.4% from the floor with a 41.8% clip from downtown and ranks as the NCAA DIII leader in free-throw percentage with a 93.8% performance from the charity stripe.

Saint Joseph's hosts Anna Maria College in a 2012 GNAC Tournament semifinal rematch on Saturday at 3:00 PM.
