Monks Top Team in Maine, Jobin Honored

STANDISH, ME - The Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) weekly report has been released and Saint Joseph's College is ranked as the state's top team for the second-consecutive reporting period.

Saint Joseph's (14-8, 9-6 GNAC) garnered four of 10 first-place votes with 40 total points in the weekly poll, which is voted on by NCAA DIII and NAIA head coaches from around the state. Bowdoin College (36 pts), Maine-Farmington (32), Southern Maine (25) and Husson University (17) round out the top five vote-getters.

Also included in the weekly report is a list of individual accolades and SJC junior forward Nicholas Jobin (Westbrook, Maine) has received Honor Roll mention for his play in an overtime loss at the hands of Lasell College on Tuesday. Jobin netted 17 points off a 7-10 effort from the field in the losing effort.
