Mac Shea
Title: Assistant Coach
Year: 3rd Year

Shea comes to the Monks fresh off his graduation from the University of New Hampshire, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (with a focus in Sports Psychology) degree, and a Minor in Business Administration. He graduated with a 3.4 GPA, making dean’s list and high honors in the fall of 2018, spring of 2019, and spring of 2020.

In his time within UNH, he wore multiple hats, acting as the Dean’s Ambassador for College of Health and Human Sciences (2020-2021) where he worked with the CHHS to foster a welcoming atmosphere for incoming students, and worked directly with underclassmen, guiding some through the internship process within the school.

He also served as a team manager for the Wildcat’s men’s basketball team for two seasons (2019-2021), helping all aspects of the team (i.e., practices, traveling/games) ran as smoothly as possible.

Shea was involved with other aspects of UNH athletics as well, as he acted as a communications intern within their athletic department (2018). His tasks included, but were not limited to, writing press releases for various athletics teams, helping with social media accounts, assisting with live-stats and scorekeeping during contests, and updating information such as player bios on their website.

He is comfortable in a coaching role, as displayed by his multiple coaching positions held throughout the years, including helping with the Future Trojans basketball summer camp (2013-2015), and volunteering as an assistant coach for the Mount Desert Island High School Varsity Baseball Team (2017-2019).
