STANDISH, MAINE - The Monks (3-7-1) lost 1-0 to
visiting Colby College (5-5) after first year Matt Shatkin
(Brookline, MA) netted a pass from junior Daniel Kiernan
(Brookline, MA) in the 85th minute.
After out-shooting St. Joe's 7-3 in the first half, the Mules
erupted for 13 second half shots. Senior Brian
White (Colebrook, NH) had 5 saves for the Monks before a
collision sent him to the bench in the 58th minute. Senior
David Rosquete (Auburn, ME) took over and recorded
2 saves in just over 32 minutes, but was unable to stop the shot by
Shatkin.
St. Joe's travels to UMaine-Presque Isle for a 2 PM game on
Saturday, Oct. 15, and continues on to play UMaine-Fort Kent on
Sunday, Oct. 16 at 12 noon.
