Waterville, ME - The SJC men's soccer team posted a 2-2
double-overtime tie at Thomas College on Sunday. St. Joe's improves
to 2-5-2, 1-3 GNAC.
The Terriers went up 1-0 after a penalty kick by Tyler Simpson in
the 39th minute and took the lead into the half. St. Joe's SO
Andre Cushing (Hampden, ME) returned the favor and
tied the score with a penalty kick at 49:36.
SO Eamonn Harrigan (Caribou, ME) broke the tie and
put the Monks up 2-1 with an unassisted goal in the 57th minute,
but Taylor Helberg knotted the score at 71:06.
SO Cory Smith (Ellsworth, ME) made five saves for
St. Joe's.
The Monks host Daniel Webster on Tuesday, October 2nd at 4 PM.
