Shangraw Named ECAC Offensive Player of the Week

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's College senior midfielder Kyle Shangraw (Westbrook, Maine) has been selected as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) NCAA DIII New England Offensive Player of the Week.

Shangraw, who also garnered Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), continued to be the engine that drives the SJC offense last week when he tallied a goal and a pair of assists in two victories. The senior assisted on a pair of markers in a 3-0 triumph over University of Southern Maine on Wednesday and scored an insurance goal on a beautiful play in a 2-0 win against Suffolk University on Saturday.

A former NCAA DI player, Shangraw is the third Saint Joseph's men's soccer player to earn ECAC weekly accolades. Will Pike '10 claimed ECAC New England Defensive Player of the Week honors on September 23rd, 2008 and Doug MacCallum '10 was chosen as the ECAC New England Offensive Player of the Week on November 3rd, 2009.

Saint Joseph's will host University of New England in a non-conference match slated to begin at 4:00 PM.
