Saint Joseph's Competes at Bates College Invitational

LEWISTON, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College track & field teams competed in the Bates College Invitational on Saturday. The SJC men placed fourth with 70 points while the women finished sixth with 41 points.

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Freshman Andrew D'Ovidio (Walpole, Mass.) was second in the 600-Meter Run (1:31.22) and 11th in the 200-Meter Dash (25.63)
  • Freshman Zachary Ham (Saco, Maine) placed fourth in the 400-Meter Dash (57.14)
  • Sophomore Avery Liotta-Henderson (Waterbury, Conn.) finished fifth in the 800-Meter Run (2:26.75)
  • Sophomore Joshua Hunter (Lawrence, Mass.) was seventh in the 400-Meter Dash (1:09.00) and 18th in the 200-Meter Dash (29.29)
  • Sophomore Marshall Berninghausen (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) placed seventh in the Weight Throw (10.52m) and eighth in the Shot Put (8.28m)
  • Freshman David Tuttle (Brunswick, Maine) was eighth in the Long Jump (4.43m) and 11th in the Shot Put (6.85m)
  • Sophomore Kevin Cotter (Sandwich, Mass.) was eighth in the Weight Throw (7.70m) and ninth in the Shot Put (8.23m)
  • Freshman Kevin McWilliams (New Milford, Conn.) was ninth in the 1000-Meter Run (2:57.75)
  • Junior Lucas Fisher (Strafford, N.H.) finished ninth in the 1-Mile Run (5:02.73)
  • Sophomore Harry DeCotis (North Scituate, R.I.) finished 10th in the Shot Put (7.36m)
  • Freshman Jacob Boissonault (Biddeford, Maine) was 11th in the 1-Mile Run (5:08.58)
  • Freshman Ben Plante (Biddeford, Maine) placed 11th in the 1000-Meter Run (3:04.73)
  • Freshman Connor White (Bayport, N.Y.) placed 12th in the Shot Put (6.79m)
  • Boissonault, Liotta-Henderson, Fisher, and McWilliams finished third in the 4x800 Meter Relay with a 9:33.21 effort

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Sophomore Sarah Curtin (Strafford, N.H.) placed third in the 1000-Meter Run (3:24.78)
  • Freshman Lillian Bisset (Jefferson, Maine) was third in the 60-Meter Hurdles (10:10 with a 10.46 prelim time) and eighth in the 200-Meter Dash (28.67)
  • Sophomore Alysha Smith (Jaffrey, N.H.) qualified for the 60-Meter Dash finals with an 8.50 prelim time and placed eighth in the final with an 8.53 effort – she also finished 10th in the 200-Meter Dash (28.84)
  • Senior Marisa Lundy (Merrimac, Mass.) finished sixth in the 400-Meter Dash (1:08.64)
  • Sophomore Rebecca Pond (Westwood, Mass.) was eighth in the 400-Meter Dash (1:12.26) and 23rd in the 200-Meter Dash (31.82)
  • Junior Kyrie Harnden (Wilton, Maine) finished ninth in the 400-Meter Dash (1:12.44)
  • Freshman Marisa Quirion (Gardiner, Maine) was ninth in the 800-Meter Run (2:47.27)
  • Freshman Amanda Tavoletti (Reading, Mass.) placed 11th in the 800-Meter Run (2:55.37)
  • Freshman Laurel Grigalunas-Mahon was 12th in the 800-Meter Run (3:05.69)
  • Freshman Breeann Sautter (Lisbon, Maine) placed 17th in the 200-Meter Dash (30.01)
  • Quirion, Lundy, Sautter, and Curtin finished sixth in the 4x400 Meter Relay (4:46.39)
  • Harnden, Meghan Burke (Falmouth, Mass.), Bisset, and Smith placed seventh in the 4x400 Meter Relay (4:58.03)
