St. Joe's Track and Field Summer Camp

STANDISH, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College Track and Field program will be hosting a Track and Field camp this summer (formerly the Dick Fosbury Track and Field Camp). It will run from July 5th – July 9th on their new state of the art Track and Field Facilities. The camp is intended for 2022/2023 High School Athletes.  

THE CAMP EXPERIENCE

  • Participants will learn through discussion, demonstration, and practice, various track and field events - including jumps and throws - of their choice. (We recommend that each participant choose at least 2 or 3 different events.) 
  • Participants will learn through discussion, demonstration, and practice, the fundamentals of speed and power for various sprinting and jumping events. 

Participants will also learn about various performance enhancing topics:

  • Basics of Strength and Conditioning
  • Optimal Sports Nutrition
  • Mental Preparation and Readiness
  • Track Event Tactics

Participants will enjoy other fun activities such as "team bonding" activities, at our Sebago Lake beach front, movie night, and more…

Other Useful information:

Participants will have the option of staying overnight in one of our dorms or commuting each day.

Participants will have meals in our outstanding Pearson's Café, with the number of meals dependent on whether an on-campus participant or a commuter.

THE CAMP WEEK

Tuesday July 5th – (half day) check in at noon (no lunch served)

Wednesday July 6th thru Friday July 8th – full of day activities

Saturday July 9th – (half day) check out after lunch (approximately 1:00pm) ** more details will be provided if necessary closer to the start of the camp

THE CAMP COST

$300 for the actual camp (room & board not included)

$234 for room and board (includes sharing a room and 4 each of breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

Total for on-campus participants = $534.00

Total for commuters = $348.00 (includes lunch only)
